Dr Khouri provides expertise in the management of complex glaucoma. Treatments include medical, laser and surgical therapy including Micro-Incisional Glaucoma Surgery (MIGS).
Dr Khouri serves patients at the Institute of Ophthalmology at Rutgers in Newark. The Institute provides state of the art diagnostic and imaging capabilities in NJ that include modern optical coherence tomography (OCT), OCT angiography, ultrasound and ultrasound biomicroscopy, corneal hysteresis and other functional and structural testing to accurately diagnose glaucoma. All these technologies are operated by specialized and professional staff.
Dr Khouri directs a clinical trial, diagnostics, and telemedicine imaging laboratory with a team of researchers. Dr Khouri also serves as the program director of the ophthalmology residency at New Jersey Medical School. Together with a team of researchers and medical students they study innovative methods to improve diagnostic and therapeutic interventions for glaucoma. The team also provide ocular health community service across Newark and NJ.
